It’s Me, Hi! I’m Alexa.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve wanted to create. I was the kid who used to spend my free time putting vibrant shapes together in Microsoft Word so I could print them, cut them out, and fold them into pencil holders for my desk. I was the kid that use to make posters for my family band (aptly named “The Felberg Band”) to hang up around the house with tear-away tickets that were required for living room performance entry. I was a kid that, at a young age, was told I had an aptitude for graphic design. I held onto that idea and now call it my career.

For me, graphic design is not only the opportunity to be creative, but is the synthesis of many things I find interesting. Rather than pursuing art in general, I found graphic design to be a medium where my technological prowess could be put to use. I’ve often been called the “IT department” in my family for my quick troubleshooting skills, and these abilities have been useful to me as a designer in a tech-dominant world. I also have found graphic design to be a powerful medium for storytelling. Each color decision, font choice, and shape has the ability to impact others and communicate purpose, which I find fascinating. As a designer, I aspire create with purpose and help others tell their stories. I want to use my passion for creating to do good in this world, and graphic design allows me to do that.
